When single Valentine’s Day was a heavy cross to bear. It weighed me down, tore me up and gave me serious heartburn. That’s because of all the drinking I did when spending Valentine’s Day alone while watching sappy movies. Booze, you have a friend in me!
Other times I’d meet up with girlfriends. We’d forget about our single status and celebrate how amazing we are. “It’s Galentine’s Day not Valentine’s Day!” “We don’t need men, we have each other!””I love you ladies!” And I’d wake up with a hangover all over again.
This year I’m celebrating Valentine’s Day with Boo. We’re keeping it low key because 1) it’s going to be cold as balls, 2) we have a baby on the way and don’t want to spend a gazillion dollars, and 3) all I want to do on a Sunday is binge watch TV shows and movies.
