It is October 1st, 2012; a new month and a great day to set intentions for the entire month.
Recently, I’ve begun a new wake up routine that helps me focus, and I am continuing this during the month of October. What I do is simple: wake up, say one thing that I am grateful for, breathe, and set an intention for the day. The intention can be as small as, “Pick up my clothes off my couch,” or as big as, “Pitch a story to Oprah Magazine.” It is about what I am comfortable with at that moment.
What works about this exercise is that we begin the day with positive thoughts and a goal oriented mentality. If you believe in mind over matter, or the Law of Attraction, then creating a great life where we achieve goals is as simple as believing and being certain of your destiny.
So, on this Motivation Monday, set a list of intentions for the month of October. My list is as follows:
- Save more for my move to Los Angeles.
- Pitch more stories.
- Create a budget and stick with it.
- Begin and stick with a morning routine. Cause it takes 30 days to break a habit!
- Begin and stick with a posting schedule/routine on LoveSujeiry.com.
- Get my license.
- Continue to open up in my relationships.
- Read 2 books for pleasure.
Now, I have my list. I can take each goal and break it down a bit more and add it to my action plan. That way I can rise, say one thing that I am grateful for, and breath. I will set my intention for the day because I know what I am striving for.
