Gratitude. No matter where we are in life and where we come from we must be grateful. It isn’t always easy, I know. When I miss that downtown 1 train or when friends and family forget to check in, I feel frustrated and alone in this big yet small world. Staying in the present moment takes practice. Focusing on the good things instead of the daily nuisances takes practice. And sometimes we just need to feel what we feel.
But today we will just be thankful. We will count our blessings because there are many. Trust me, you have a good life. Or, as I like to say, “It can always be worse.” It truly can. So, I asked what you are thankful for. Here is a roundup just for you. Hopefully it inspires those that are down (or maybe just the cranky New York subway riders) to feel a little more blessed.
In the words of Matthew Mcconaughey, “Alright, alright, alright.” Carlos concurs as he is “grateful for life in general.” He continues, “We tend to get caught up in the details and sometimes forget that we are living, and that alone is a privilege; especially when then there so many people suffering the world.” Amen to that. So thank you, thank you, thank you.
