Every time I dust off my high school yearbook, I flip through the pages and laugh at the really bad school pictures. I don’t think I took a good picture until senior year in high school when shooting portraits. Still, I love to cruise down memory lane and read the funny dedications from friends. School was a huge chunk of my life. I have memories I cherish because they have made me the unique person that I am today.
I’m not a hoarder by any means. But I do have items that I will never get rid of and will take with me no matter where I end up. I’ll probably show my children and grandchildren 60-year-old memorabilia! Whether they remind me of a good time or an instance or a person I rather forget about, I love having keeping the following keepsakes. Maybe you should too.
I like keeping academic awards because it reminds me of a time when I had a passion and pursued it. It's nice to be reminded of things that I enjoyed once upon a time.
