I believe in taking life day by day and leaving our crap in the past. If you don’t, it’s like you’re packing your dogs doo doo in a lunch bag and carrying it everywhere you go. That isn’t attractive. And it reeks. You don’t want to be a smelly bag lady, do you? Of course not!
Still, there are moments when reminiscing is good for your soul. When I advise people to move on, let go and don’t look back it doesn’t mean to forget the person that you were and where you came from. Our roots are important. Past experiences mold us. And so we should reflect, go through photo albums, and read old love letters.

And not just in inches! When you look back at what you've experienced and overcome, you realize you're a bad ass who has grown up into an amazing woman. Even if you still have work to do - you don't have that dream home, job, or man - you've come a long way.
