When I say I’m going to do something, I get it done. It may take a few days, months or years but I talk the talk as much as I walk the walk. Luckily, my list of goals aren’t always that serious. I can be as silly as a monkey in a circus act. But much cuter and with higher standards. I will not stick out my tongue and rub my belly while wearing a tutu for a banana, thank you very much.
But for some chocolate…
So, the first silly goal I accomplished from my 34 Things to Do At 34 list was to wear a wig. I’ve always wanted to do this. I thought it be fun to put on a scalp-squeezing contraption with hair and be someone else for a day. On Friday, I did just that. And here I am as Foxy!
At first, I felt a bit insecure. This Foxy was nothing like me, with her jet black hair and short cut with bangs. I wasn’t sure if I she was a soccer mom in heels or maybe she should be a dominatrix?
Scratch that. My dominatrix act will be saved for a special someone.
Alas, I decided to be a more sophisticated version of me. Yes, Foxy chugged a margarita from Chipotle and squealed as Channing Tatum twerked what his momma gave him during Magic Mike. But she also shared her popcorn and wore a dress with a pearl necklace. She walked with her head high (mostly so the wig didn’t fall off). By the end of the night, I felt good. I felt beautiful and proud because I walked out of my apartment with a wig on my head, just like I said I would.
