When I have back pain I blame either of these two things: Aunt Flow or sex. For me, Aunt Flow is often the culprit; that time of the month sends spasms down my lower back. However, many of you think sex is so rough on the body that it can destroy your back.
It ain’t so, y’all. According to a study from George Institute for Global Health, what hurts your back is heavy lifting. Getting it on sideways, backwards or riding your man like a cowboy has no impact on your aching patras. Well, maybe your booty (if you’re into that) but not your back.
Researchers interviewed a thousand people or so who believed that sex triggered their back pain. That was their perception. Contrary to popular opinion, sexual activity is not a major trigger of body aches.
So the next time your man claims you broke his back show him this post. Give him a reminder that his back problems have nothing to do with his sexual prowess.
