I’m not very religious but I do believe in God, angels, and demons. So much so, that in the throws of passion, I shout out to God all mighty, grateful that he blessed me with a pepa™ and a clitoris. As you may or may not know, the clitoris has 8,000 nerve endings where as the male penis only has to 4,000. It’s only function is to provide women with exquisite sexual pleasure.
Again. Thank you, Jesus!
Still, being religious can hinder the sexual ecstasy one experiences. I remember feeling guilty the first, second, even third time I masturbated, afraid to be struck by a bolt of lighting. I am also very conscious of how I present myself sexually. I wouldn’t want to shame myself, my mother, and certainly not God. With that being said, I wonder if sex would be better if I were a non-believer. According to an Internet survey, it sure would!
The study suggests that atheist have more satisfying sex due to feeling guilt free. It also implies that believers are a bit uptight and are unwilling to share and act on their sexual fantasies. Another poll showed that 55% of people felt freer sexually after leaving their religion, where as 2.2% felt their sex life is now worse. Lastly, respondents reported “dramatic improvement in sexual satisfaction and a decrease in guilt after people left religion.”
So, should we give up our Godly ways in order to experience greater pleasure? I think not! Personally, what get me to praise Jesus in the bedroom has nothing to do with my Catholic upbringing. It is just what I express when feeling pleasure. If you are comfortable with yourself and your body, no matter what the shape or size, and have a loving partner whom you trust and are comfortable with, then your sex life will be just as hot and sweaty as the atheists.
If all else fails, we still have our clitoris!
