I was raised Catholic. I was baptized, did my first communion, and was confirmed. Now, the only thing missing to complete my transformation to a 100% “Good Catholic” is a husband and child. That, and a whole lot of church going.
Though I was raised to recite the Padre Nuestro and bow when in the presence of the holy cross, adulthood has led me to question my religious upbringing. Why do we have to kneel repeatedly during Catholic mass? Why are women in the Bible often portrayed as the catalyst to sin (Eve, anyone)?
Most importantly, I wonder how my religious inertia and pseudo-Catholicism will affect my union and the lives of my future children.
