I’ve always imagined that marriage would be my happily ever after. That all the dreams I have envisioned — the passionate sex, romantic candlelit dinners, and never-ending affection and love — would always be there, no matter how many years as a couple.

I know what you’re thinking — it is all a fantasy, Sujeiry! Snap out of it, woman! But in my mind a committed union like this, with a love live like this, does exist.

That’s why I’m obsessed with relationship reality shows. Sure, I watch The Bad Girls Club (I know…I know) and I am always eager to hear Heidi Klum rigidly say, “Avidazen!” But they don’t stand a chance against The Bachelor, Tough Love, and my new favorite reality show, Newlyweds: The First Year.
