When I was in college I really wanted a tattoo. It was the 90’s, and I was mesmerized by the fire star tattoos around the belly buttons of each and every one of my peers. I didn’t take the plunge because 1) I’m terrified of the pain, and 2) I didn’t want anything permanent on my body. So I went to South Beach for senior year spring break and got a henna tattoo and a belly button piercing. The henna tattoo became swollen soon after and the belly button piercing was always infected. Turns out, I’m allergic to fake tattoos and fake silver and gold.
Celebrities, however, seem not to be allergic nor intimidated by getting inked. Many celeb couples fall in love and get a tattoo representing said love! And, oh how many more regret the tattoo once they break up. Like I said, it’s permanent! Unfortunately, love in Hollywood rarely is.
Here are some celebs who have gotten tattoos for love. And probably had them surgically removed. Ouch.
Eva Longoria for Tony Parker
When Eva Longoria married Tony Parker, she tatted her love on her wrist - that's "nine" in roman numerals. Nine represented Tony Parker's basketball jersey number. Now, Eva's wrist is inkless. After rumors of cheating, Longoria divorced Parker and got rid of her love tats. Lesson learned - hopefully! Flickr.com/Kjbphotography.
