I am in a long distance relationship (she’s in the UK and I’m in Pakistan). Last year, our parents approved of our relationship and they have no objection if we get married. So, I did propose, and she said, “Maybe.” Her sis even asked what it meant and she didn’t change her reply. So, I am confused. Mind you my girlfriend has been proposed to twice and has said no to each proposal.
By the way, if we do get married I am willing to move to the UK so we can start our life there.
What do you think? Does she want to marry me? Should I wait for her reply to turn into a “yes”?
The Maybe Engagement
Dear The Maybe Engagement,
It seems your girlfriend has a case of cold feet. She just can’t seem to say “yes” to any proposal.
Her trepidation can be for a number of reasons. 1) She wasn’t in love with to the two previous men, and that’s fair. Or, 2) she just doesn’t know what she wants, hence the “maybe” that she gave you after you proposed. Read the rest on LOOP21!
