My question is where are all the eligible men hiding in Florida? All the men I’ve met are married or dating. Any advice/ideas?

Dear Dateless in Florida,
I once dreamed about moving to Florida, but now, after receiving your question, I may just stay put!
So, since I’ve never lived in The Sunshine State, I can only give you some suggestions on where to meet eligible bachelors in general. Here you go!
- Online Dating: I know, I know. You’re not actually meeting someone face to face initially, but you will have a much better shot at meeting different types of men while online. Give sites like Match.com and EHarmony a try. They have a pretty high success rate.
- Become a Social Butterfly: Sign up for social and professional groups that cater to singles who are ready to mingle. There are tons of groups on Meetup.com. Whatever your interests are and where you reside, I am sure you will find a group to sign up for. All you have to do is be open and attend events!
- Pump Some Iron: The gym has many hotties and soon-to-be hotties. They may not all be single, but I’m sure you will find one or two to put down the weights and flash you a bachelors smile.
- The Bibliotheque: Or, in this generation, the bookstore. Check out your local Barnes and Nobles and browse more than book titles. You will have an inside look at his interests through the books he likes to read.
I hope these suggestions help! As for how to know if the man you meet is single, there is that wedding finger. Not all men wear the ring at all times, but,in Florida it is always warm and sunny. So beware of the wedding band tan line!
Love strongly and wisely,
