Strut Your Stuff! A Confident Woman Is An Amazing Woman
It’s Friday night at your favorite hangout spot. The music is loud and the drinks are starting to settle in. Suddenly, you spot the man of your dreams by the bar. He’s tall, dark, and devastatingly handsome. For the next twenty minutes, you try everything in your power to make him look your way, yet he continues to ignore your efforts. As soon as you quit trying to telepathically flirt from 30 feet away, you watch as another woman walks right up to your guy, and sparks up a seemingly effortless conversation. What does she have that you don’t have?
The answer my dear, is quite simple—confidence.
There’s a song in Annie that proclaims, “You’re never fully dressed without a smile!” However, confidence is the best thing a woman could wear. Men can smell low self-esteem from a mile away. Therefore, you have to believe that you have the power to get any man you want, without any doubts.
Stop waiting for guys to approach you first. We’re not living in the 50’s. It’s the 21st century! The imaginary rule that proclaims, “men always have to make the first move” is pretty much out the window. So if you see someone who catches your eye, don’t be afraid to go after him. Even if you only introduce yourself, I promise that your newfound level of confidence will be much appreciated. Sometimes guys get just as nervous as we do when starting a conversation. Strutting up to him first will instantly set you apart from the crowd.
Confidence isn’t only important when it comes to dating. Having self-assurance is a crucial part of being successful in all areas of life. The most successful people got to where they are because they had faith in their abilities. There’s a quote on Instagram that challenges people to, “believe in yourself the way Kanye believes in himself.” And although some people hate him, it’s hard to ignore that a lot of his achievements are due to the fact that he’s confident in himself, regardless of what people think about him. If you begin to embody this same mindset, you should start to see more success in your life as well.
So, don’t let another night on the town end with you watching another women steal your potential beau. Be confident in who you are and ignore the competition. Better yet, act like the competition doesn’t even exist. You have to remember that you are uniquely and wonderfully made. I’m not saying to walk around thinking you’re better than everyone. But at the same time, you have to believe that no one is better than you.
