I love supporting women. Especially Latinas. So when I was invited by a fellow Dominicana entrepreneur to attend the opening of her nail salon, Dry Loft Nail Bar, I hopped on the LIRR (Long Island Railroad), took the subway to the Upper West Side and celebrated with her familia and friends as if I were one of her cousins.
It had been a while since I hung out uptown. The merengue and bachata blasted through the compact space, which was filled to the brim with Latinos, cupcakes, pastelitos, kipes and pink rose. I had a blast. And I looked good while doing so!

1. Vessel Purse: I love, love, love the rose gold hue and feel of this Signature Large Tote by Vessel. It’s classic, pretty and functional — cause it has a laptop sleeve and magnetic closure yo!
Wait. There’s more good news: Vessel gives a backpack to a child in need when you buy a purse. Since Buy a Bag, Give a Bag was implemented, Vessel customers have helped provide 14,192 backpacks! A purse for a great cause — other than having more fantastic purses, of course.
2. Black and White Blouse by Zara: I’ve had this black and white blouse for 5 years. Yes, 5 years! I take care of my pieces as if they were diamonds (as we all should). That way I can mix and match new and old articles of clothing without breaking the bank. Check it out on Zara.com!
