When I discovered I was pregnant I hugged and kissed Boo, teared up a little, and later called my close relatives to give them the good news. Not once did I think to purchase the pregnancy bible, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” because I knew what to expect – weight gain, nausea and vomiting, more weight gain, cravings, sleepless nights due to my protruding belly, stretch marks, and more weight gain. I also figured I’d ask Mami, my sister, my cousins and my close friend, Yuyi, about their pregnancies. Besides, with technology literally at my finger tips, I’ll just google any questions I have!
I’ve used all of these resources, but none of them prepared me for pregnancy. Not even the Holy Grail of pregnancy books (via the “What to Expect” app, of course). So I’m going to keep it really real and humorous (per usual) and share my journey. Here’s what I think you really need when pregnant.
A Robot Claw
I attempted to wipe up some butter from the floor yesterday and I grunted like a cave woman. Must! Clean! Butter! Grrr! That's because the bigger you become, the harder it is to bend down. Unless you have a maid, you're going to have to pick things up. That's when I realized that I needed a robot claw. No one ever told me to purchased one but, damn, it's going to make my pregnancy so much easier! [Purchase your very own Toysmith Robot Claw on Amazon. You're really going to need it, preggers. P.S. Your kid can play with it later.]
