Gratitude. No matter where we are in life and where we come from we must be grateful. It isn’t always easy, I know. When I miss that downtown 1 train or when friends and family forget to check in, I feel frustrated and alone in this big yet small world. Staying in the present moment takes practice. Focusing on the good things instead of the daily nuisances takes practice. And sometimes we just need to feel what we feel.
But today we will just be thankful. We will count our blessings because there are many. Trust me, you have a good life. Or, as I like to say, “It can always be worse.” It truly can. So, I asked what you are thankful for. Here is a roundup just for you. Hopefully it inspires those that are down (or maybe just the cranky New York subway riders) to feel a little more blessed.
The Little Big Things
Food on the table, warm days in late November, a seat on a crowded subway: these are the little things that mean so much. That includes your health and a j-o-b. Things many take for granted but not many have an abundance of. It’s the little big things that you are grateful for.
