On April 16, 1978, I rang in my 34th year on Earth. Like many of us on our birthdays, I chose to reflect on my accomplishments and what I am still working on personally and professionally. What I realized was that 33 was amazing. Though I experienced a loss of a romantic relationship, I gained a network of friends, an amazing publicist and realized a long life dream – publishing my very first book.
Love Trips was a project I had in mind since I was 27 years old. At 33, I decided to tackle this goal on my 33rd birthday after creating a list of goals to meet at 33. I called it 33 Things To Do at 33.
This list set things in motion.
I have often spoken about the power of goal setting, list making and vision boards. But to see them come to life, well, it’s astonishing. This is why I am taking on this challenge at 34. Every Monday, I will take action in order to complete my personal and professional goals. I will write a post and share the exercise with you in hopes that your dreams also become reality.
Will you join me?
If so, here is the first exercise:
- Write a letter to your former birth year. For me, it will be 33. In that letter, write about what you’ve learned and what you are grateful for. Make sure to keep the letter positive.
Once the letter is written post it on your blog (if you have one) or just keep it to yourself. Just make sure to come back to LoveSujeiry.com and find my post with my letter to 33. Comment on what you feel you have learned in that post so we can begin a discussion!
Hope you all have a wonderful personal new year, no matter how old you are. Let’s get this challenge started!
