I’ve never been a fan of The Hickey. When boys nibbled on my neck, I’d pull away, afraid soft kisses would turn into hard licking and sucking. I’m not a juicy watermelon and you are not a lizard! So get off my neck and suck elsewhere!
Surprisingly, not all women feel the same. Some proudly parade their purple scars as if they were sashes. Well, if women aren’t careful, they may never sashay on stage and win Ms. America. Because hickeys can kill you!!!
No, seriously, they can kill you.
Reports surfaced that a 44 year old New Zealand woman was temporarily partially paralyzed due to a hickey. Her boyfriend went to town on her neck as if he were the New Zealand Edward Cullen, and she experienced loss of movement in her left arm. Apparently, she was having a mild stroke. Once at the hospital, doctors found a small vertical bruise on her neck near a major artery. The hickey had created a clot.
“Because it was a love bite there would be a lot of suction. Because of the physical trauma it had made a bit of bruising inside the vessel. There was a clot in the artery underneath where the hickey was. We looked around the medical literature and that example of having a love bite causing something like that hasn’t been described before.”
In other words, she was almost sucked to death!
So, kick a man when he treats your neck like a Sour Patch Kid. Wear turtlenecks whenever you have a sleepover. Rub your neck with garlic to steer him away. Do whatever it takes. You’re life literally depends on it.

Next time your boo hops in the shower, join him. Be an environmentalist and save water! The warmth of the water, the steam, the bubbles: it’s the perfect atmosphere for a tantalizing sexual session. Let him stand with the water beating down on his neck and back while you give him head. The water pressure mixed with your tongue action will drive him crazy. Personally, I like to wait till my man has shampoo in his eyes and then I go down on him unexpectedly; he literally melts in my mouth. You have to be careful because it can get slippery, but it’s definitely a great experience. Flickr: Tread.
