Confidence. It’s one of the most important aspects to any healthy relationship. Without it things like jealousy and insecurity can get in the way and we all know where that leads…misery and eventual heartbreak. So when you’re with your partner – man, woman or otherwise – make sure you feel confident that the love you are giving is being received and reciprocated.
There are many ways to do this. And I am here to share how you can use confidence to express your love.
Tell the person you’re with how you feel about them. Find unique ways to do this. Reinvent the love wheel by writing the “Top Ten Things I Love About You.” People love hearing why someone else fell in love with them.
Be sneaky about the way you express your love. Ladies, leaving a nude photo of yourself in your man’s briefcase or bag before they head out the door for work will give them a guaranteed mid-day surprise. And take it from me, he’ll be all too grateful when he returns home to find the real thing standing there waiting for him in nothing but his tie. (I stole that from the 90s chick flick “Pretty Woman.”)
Be creative with love. This in turn builds up the confidence in the relationship as a whole. Outside of expressing your feelings with words or photos you can show the person you’re with how much they really mean to you. For instance, if you know your woman loves massages after a long workweek, leave her pleasantly surprised by creating an in-home spa. Buy massage oils and candles. Play her favorite soothing music and while massaging her from head to toe whisper beautiful things in her ear. Tell her that she means the world to you and that you cherish her. These simple forms of expressing love can bring the outcome of a long-lasting relationship.
Communicate with confidence. Communicate about the good, the bad and the ugly. Because if you want to do it like grandma did and bag a hubby for 40 years you must communicate openly with your partner as they must do with you. If you don’t like his tongue down your ear while in bed, tell him! How else will he know?
Build the confidence in you, in your partner and in your relationship. Without it you’ll be sitting ducks waiting for the love bullet to rip through your heart. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
