Why He Cheated When You Let Yourself Go
When you first met your man you probably had that hot “single” chica body. Your hair and makeup were on point no matter the time of day; and you dressed to impress at the gym, when watching TV on your sofa, and even at the grocery store. As the relationship flourished and years passed, you started to feel more comfortable. You put a little more food on your plate during dinner time, you skipped the gym a few times, and one day you even forgot to apply your face.
BAM! 15-20 pounds later, you wonder: what the hell happened to my sexiness?
Guess what? He’s thinking the same thing and may just place his attention elsewhere. It’s hard to believe that your man will cheat just because you gained a little weight here and there. The reality is he’s capable of doing it. We all are. Yes, he loves you, but when he signed up for this relationship he thought you took care of your health and image. That’s the woman he met because that’s the woman you showed him.
Does this mean that it’s fair for men to cheat when a woman “lets herself go?” Not at all, but getting comfortable in a relationship is a relationship killer. Going from a size 4 to a size 10 shows that you stopped caring about yourself and, yes, even your man. And that’s where the problem lies.
In today’s society where there are a 1001 Instagram “models” with the “perfect” 36-24-37 figure, it’s easy for men and women to be less physically attracted to their partner and even stray.
You have to remember that relationships are based on attraction. Most people can’t be with a person they are not physically attracted to; it’s basic human nature.
So, take a look in the mirror. Do you feel as pretty as you used to? Do you feel confident in who you are inside and out? Do you feel sexy? If the answer is no, you have work to do. Although not everyone intends to cheat, feeling crappy physically and emotionally can push your love into someone else’s arms – and vagina.
