Break Free! Why I had The Strength To Let Go Of His Love
Not being a very big Ariana Grande fan, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I instantly fell in love with her song with Zedd called “Break Free.” The lyrics assailed my ears a couple of months ago and I instantly fell in love the song. It awesomely details why we need to wake up, let go, and come into our own.
I recently faced something similar earlier this year when my ex-boyfriend all but dropped off the face of the planet. He couldn’t handle a temporary separation and wanted a lifestyle I would never be able to get on board with. He left me in the dark and instead of stepping up my ex left me a shell of a woman with low self-esteem. I finally ended things and it was really, really hard. But I realized that fleeting relationship isn’t the best I could do. I needed to “break free” of what was holding me back. I needed to discover what would push me to true happiness and how I could reach my full potential.
Life is very funny that way. It will mask a relationship, friendship, job, or experience as healthy and even necessary. While letting go of a good thing is never easy doing so might just propel you to be someone greater and to have a better life overall. When you can see past all of the supposedly happy times, you can really push yourself to find true fulfillment and love. And maybe if you’re lucky, like me, you will find it in a career path you are passionate about.
Break free from the strings of your invisible puppeteer. The ones that string you a life course that is expected of you, Create a brand new path that is better your soul. Take it from me, I am so much happier fighting a battle that has nothing to do with another human being. It created a stronger Courtney who I know will become extraordinary.
