I was bestowed the honor to give away a ticket to the Las Vegas Lifestyle Blog Conference. Thrilled to be a part of this experience, I jumped at the chance, much like I hopped onto the back of the LLBloggers group on Facebook.
And let me tell you, it’s been the best piggy back ride ever!
How did it all begin for me? On a typical day, I logged onto Facebook and noticed I was added to a group. I rolled my eyes, expecting it to be another annoying forum where members bitch and moan about their days, or worse, post personality contests. Luckily, no “What type of movie star are you?” quizzes were posted. On the contrary, I found well written posts about beauty, fashion, food, entertainment, self-improvement, relationships, business and more.
Liar, Liar Pants on Fire: A Study on Who Lies
As a child, when caught lying, we’d hear the sing-song of “Liar, liar pants on fire!” The sound of teasing voices echoed across classrooms, traveling down corridors to the school cafeteria for all to hear. The liar pegged and now known throughout school as someone who is untrustworthy and manipulative. A reputation ruined at a young age and, perhaps, a character flaw that may never dissipate.

On Tuesday night, I stepped out of the shower, cleared the fog from the mirror and said aloud, “I am so successful.” This wasn’t my attempt at a mantra ala Margaret from the young adult novel, Are You There God? It’s Me. Margaret. On the contrary, I am very happy with my small busts and was simply stating a fact.

The First Call After A Breakup: Seeking Closure
Calling a man after a break up rattles every inch of my body. My skin bumps raise as if a cold wind attacked. Perky and obvious, they are, unlike my boobs, and even they stand at attention when in the presence of an ex, even if just over a phone call. My palms feel like I’ve been holding a dead fish; cold and perspiring like armpits in summer. Then there is my heart. Beating hard and fast as if running a marathon. What awaits at the finish line?
