My boyfriend and I of almost a year broke up. He broke up with me last week. He said,”You’re a great girl, and you deserve the best.” Then I found out that he had been cheating on me like the whole time. With a girl that is the known town doorknob; everyone gets a turn. In the beginning, he said he would never hurt me, but that was the worst I’ve ever been hurt. What do i do?
Betrayed from LA
Dear Betrayed from LA,
What do you do? You move on! He already cheated on you with “the known town doorknob.” You shouldn’t want anything else to do with him! Personally, I believe if a man cheats on you and you allow it, taking him back as if it never happened, he will do it again and again. Besides, he has already broken up with you. Harsh as it may sound, his actions and words are very clear: he doesn’t want to be with you. However, I know why you may feel confused. When a man ends the relationship with a compliment, like “You’re a great girl, and you deserve the best,” women tend to focus on the positive, hoping that his awareness of our wonderfulness will lead him to return. I’ve learned the hard way that if a man calls it quits, he’s done. It doesn’t matter what he says to you or how he handles the break up. So chica, move on. Respect yourself enough to realize that, as he said, you do deserve the best. So you see, your ex-boyfriend did you a favor. He set you free from his bullshit. Don’t waste any more of your time.
Love strongly and wisely,
